Angry Orchard

Those with a sweet tooth will want to swing into Angry Orchard, as the famous hard cider bar will be at the top of your list of local breweries in NY to check out. Cider apple orchards have been in the region for more than 200 hundred years, which is why you must stop while on your Hudson Valley vacations. Upon walking into the Innovation Cider House, you’ll notice the relaxed ambiance and rustic atmosphere. The brewery offers free cider tastings, live music outdoors, a small museum, and a variety of tours!

Brooklyn Cider House

Serving a unique selection of ciders at the Brooklyn Cider House in New Plaz, order up a flight, pint or bottle of a deliciously crisp artisan craft ale! Not only will you indulge in New York cider made from heirloom apple varieties, but they also have a full menu featuring the best wood-fired pizza around! You’ll smell the aroma of the apples as you chat with the friendly beertenders about the history of the brewery. Dine inside in the tasting room or outside on the patio during the summertime at one of our favorite Hudson Valley breweries that’s just minutes from our Minnewaska Lodge.

Arrowood Farms Brewery

You’ll love crafts at Arrowood Farms as they combine traditional with next-generation innovation, a cute little hidden gem farm brewery that is near our Gardiner lodging. Walking through the grounds of the farm, you’ll find chicken, bees, pigs, ducks, and solar panels that power their three-barrel system. Nothing says an artisan beer like a brewery that uses ingredients like herbs, vegetables, and fruits grown right from their garden! Their taps are ever-changing as the brewery is continuously coming up with new ideas for their crafts, along with offering limited edition and seasonal selections!
