Shawangunk Ridge Trail

The 70 mile Shawangunk Ridge Trail offers seemingly endless fall foliage of the Shawangunk Mountains. The traverse is the entire length of the mountains and features unique dwarf pine barrens, spectacular waterfalls, wetlands, diverse elevations as well as rolling hills. Some vantage points on the trail reach nearly 2,000 feet where you’ll have immaculate views of the Hudson Valley and will be able to see more than 100 miles on a clear day.

Rosendale Trestle

At the center of the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail is one of our favorite Hudson Valley attractions, Rosendale Trestle. The Trestle is an old railroad bridge that’s over 900 feet long and towers 150 feet above the Rondout Creek. From the Trestle, you’ll have views of the Shawangunk Ridge and Joppenbergh Mountain. The well-groomed trail itself is over 22 miles long, features small farms, rivers, towns, open fields, wildlife, and many other geographical treats. During your Hudson Valley vacations, use this trail for hiking, jogging and biking to get the best views of fall foliage during autumn’s peak.

Storm King Art Center

The Storm King Art Center is a lovely sculpture park that is possibly one of the most significant contemporary collections of art sculptures in the US. The park is one of the best Hudson Valley attractions during autumn because it features an open-air museum surrounded by hills, forests and breathtaking meadows on 500 acres of land. Walking around the park will be one of your favorite things to do in Hudson Valley. Not only will you enjoy the unique artistic creations in the park, but you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the majestic landscape as you stroll along.
